Dance the waves
A global sailing and film project
-
We do a long-term sailing adventure aboard our sailing yacht "Andra moi ennepe", a beautiful and heavily updated Moody 38 CC
- We are producing our movie under the working title: "Dance the waves", shot in cinematic format
-
We will discover dance, music and the way of life of the folks living along our route
-
We will kiteboard, dive, surf and kayak, living on and with the waves
-
We are trying to equip our yacht - as far as possible - with modern, sustainable and eco-friendly technology from German and European manufacturers
-
We are traveling environmentally friendly powered solely by wind, sun and a smile
-
True to the motto: "All good things are wild and free!"
Departure: 2027 from Greece
Duration: Two to three years
- The idea behind our sailing adventure is to sail from Greece across the Mediterranean, along the coast of West Africa, and from the Cape Verde Islands across the Atlantic to the Caribbean ...
- ... and if all goes well, we will pass through the Panama Canal and we will continue with a circumnavigation of the globe along the "Barefoot Route.".
- However, we want to remain flexible in our route planning and adapt to the unfolding of crises, political conditions and the situation regarding the boat, the crew and general circumstances.
We are absolutely thrilled about this!

About "Andra moi ennepe“ - the name of our sailing yacht
The first line of Homer's *Odyssey* reads "Andra moi ennepe" - translated as "Oh man of many wanderings" or "much-traveled man".
This epic by the Greek poet Homer is among the oldest written works of Western literature. It recounts the wanderings and experiences of the Greek hero Odysseus on the Mediterranean Sea following the Trojan War.

PS: On our way we probably will see two total solar eclipse :-)
-
A spectacular total solar eclipse will occur over North Africa on August 2, 2027. The umbra will pass directly over parts of the Libyan coast and Egypt, where the totality, lasting over 6 minutes, will be among the longest of the 21st century. Due to the dry desert climate, conditions there are excellent.
- The annular solar eclipse on January 26, 2028, will be visible in Ecuador along the path of annularity. For Ecuador, the data lists locations including the Galápagos Islands as well as cities such as Machala, Loja, Cuenca and Quito.
-
The total solar eclipse on July 22, 2028, is a major astronomical event, with the umbra stretching from the northwest coast of Australia across the South Island of New Zealand. The absolute maximum, with an extremely long total duration of 5 minutes and 10 seconds, will be reached in the Kimberley region of Western Australia.
